Spanish centre-back Marc Bartra has signed a new contract with Barcelona until 2017.
The 23-year-old had been strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish champions with his previous deal due to expire at the end of the season.
A number of European clubs had been credited with an interest, but Bartra has ended months of speculation by penning a fresh contract at the Camp Nou.
It is understood that the defender's form this season has put him firmly in the picture for a place in the Spain squad for the 2014 World Cup.
It is believed that his release clause now stands at £21m.
