Barcelona are reportedly planning to open fresh contract talks with attacker Ousmane Dembele.
The France international has overcome a spate of injuries to become an important player for Ronald Koeman's side, contributing six goals and four assists in 30 La Liga appearances during the 2020-21 campaign.
Dembele's contract has been a talking point for some time, though, as the winger's existing deal is due to expire next summer and negotiations over an extension have so far failed to bear fruit.
However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barca are keen to tie him down to a new deal 'as soon as possible', and the club will soon touch base with Dembele's agent to discuss the details.
The report claims that Dembele feels valued at Camp Nou under Koeman and wants to continue at the club, even if he is forced to accept a salary decrease as La Blaugrana battle with a €1bn debt.
The former Borussia Dortmund man was previously linked with a switch to Manchester United, but the Red Devils are expected to make Jadon Sancho their main target once again this summer.
