Barcelona are reportedly delaying contract talks with Jordi Alba until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
Alba, 29, is believed to be keen to sign a new long-term contract at Camp Nou, with his current deal due to expire in the summer of 2020.
However, according to Diario Sport, Barcelona are delaying talks 'for economic purposes', and there will not be an update on the defender's future until the end of the current season.
Alba has scored twice and provided five assists in 13 appearances for Barcelona this term and has made over 250 appearances for the Catalan giants since a 2012 move from Valencia.
The defender, who has lost his spot in the Spain squad since Luis Enrique's arrival, has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United.
