Barcelona 'consider Mikel Oyarzabal swoop'

Barcelona are reportedly considering a summer bid for Real Sociedad attacker Mikel Oyarzabal.

Oyarzabal scored 14 times in 41 appearances for Sociedad during the 2018-19 campaign.

The 22-year-old also found the back of the net on his competitive debut for Spain in their 3-0 win over Sweden on June 10.

According to Diario Sport, Barca have been monitoring the attacker's progress over the last 12 months and are now considering an offer in this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that Sociedad could demand Oyarzabal's full release clause - £62m - although a player-plus-cash deal could also be an option for both clubs.

Barca are expected to be in the market for a new attacker this summer and continue to be strongly linked with a swoop for Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann.
