Barcelona CEO Ferran Reverter has insisted that the club are "on the right track" as they attempt to sign both Ansu Fati and Pedri to new contracts at Camp Nou.
Fati, who has recently returned from a long-term knee injury, only has a deal at Camp Nou until next June, although the club can extend the agreement by another two years.
Barcelona are keen to offer the 18-year-old fresh terms, though, and the Catalan giants are also working to agree a new deal with Pedri, who is on a similar deal to Fati.
There have been suggestions that the club are struggling to progress in contract talks with the highly-rated duo, but Reverter has said that Blaugrana are moving in the right direction.
"Renewals of Ansu Fati and Pedri are also on the right track," Reverter told reporters.
The Barcelona CEO has also insisted that the club have funds to spend during the January transfer window despite their financial issues.
