Barcelona presidential candidate Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that Arda Turan could spend the first half of next season on loan.
The 28-year-old joined the Catalans earlier this month for a reported £24m but is ineligible to make his debut until January due to the club's transfer embargo.
Consequently, speculation has mounted that coach Luis Enrique could send the ex-Atletico Madrid midfielder out on loan to preserve his fitness.
"This is a possibility," Bartomeu told RAC1. "But the final decision must be made by coach Luis Enrique and it must be a purely technical decision."
The Blaugrana are unable to register players until 2016 after a FIFA investigation saw them found guilty of irregularities in the movement of youth players.
