Barcelona reach agreement with Bayern Munich over Arturo Vidal signing

Barcelona confirm that they have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Barcelona have agreed terms with Bayern Munich over the transfer of Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal for an undisclosed fee.

The 31-year-old will have a medical with the La Liga champions in the next few days ahead of penning a three-year contract at Camp Nou.

Vidal joined Bayern from Juventus in 2015 and won the Bundesliga title in each of his three seasons in Germany.

"FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Arturo Vidal," the Blaugrana said in an official statement.

"The agreement is for the next three seasons and is pending the medical examination that the player will undertake over the course of the next few days.

"FC Barcelona will shortly inform everyone about the arrival of the player and the agenda of the presentation ceremony."

Vidal, who has previously been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, is reported to have cost Barca £27m.
