Inter Milan have reportedly increased their efforts to sign Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona.
The Croatia international has spent the last four-and-a-half years at Camp Nou, but the summer addition of Ajax's Frenkie de Jong has thrown the 30-year-old's future into doubt.
The player's agent has previously suggested that Rakitic would not be leaving Barcelona ahead of next season, but according to La Gazzetta, a transfer remains a possibility.
Discussions are said to have already taken place between club officials from Inter and Barcelona, although it has been claimed that there is a €10m (£8.68m) difference between their respective valuations of the midfielder
Rakitic still has just under two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
