Barcelona eye Raphael Guerreiro as Junior Firpo alternative?

Barcelona's chase for a new left-back has reportedly turned towards Borussia Dortmund's Raphael Guerreiro, with Junior Firpo thought to be too expensive.

Barcelona have identified Borussia Dortmund's Raphael Guerreiro as a potential target in their hunt for a new left-back, according to a report.

The Camp Nou club have been strongly linked with Real Betis's Junior Firpo, but see Guerreiro as a potentially cheaper alternative.

According to AS, Barcelona are eager to create competition for Jordi Alba, but see Firpo as overpriced at £25m.

Guerreiro is also thought to be worth around £25m but, with his contract due to expire in 2020, Camp Nou chiefs believe that he could be signed at a cheaper price.

Guerreiro featured 32 times for Dortmund last season, scoring six goals as they pushed Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga title race.

Another player Barcelona are considering for this position is AC Milan's Ricardo Rodriguez, however a move for Filipe Luis has been ruled out.
