Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal plays down speculation that he is looking to leave the Spanish champions.

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has insisted that he is "happy" at Camp Nou and has played down suggestions that he is already looking to leave the Spanish champions.

The 32-year-old made 53 appearances for Barca last season after arriving from Bayern Munich, while he has featured on six occasions for Ernesto Valverde's side in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.

Vidal has only started once in La Liga this term, however, and it has been claimed that the Chile international is considering a move away from the Spanish champions over the next two transfer windows.

Such speculation has been denied by the experienced midfielder, though, with Vidal insisting that he remains fully committed to the club.

"I'm happy. I came here to be successful and help the team complete its objectives of winning trophies," Vidal told Sport. "I came here to be an important member of the squad as I have at every other team in my career. I'm not here just to change clubs every time the transfer window opens."

The South American has a contract at Camp Nou until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
