Dani Alves could reportedly be offered a new short-term contract by Barcelona.
The Brazilian right-back's current deal expires at the end of the season and it was expected that he would seek pastures new this summer.
However, according to AS, Barca are ready to offer the defender a new contract due to the uncertainty surrounding their future dealings in the transfer market.
As it stands, Barca will not be able to make any new signings until January 2016, but the Catalan outfit have appealed the FIFA-imposed transfer embargo.
Alves is believed to want a new two-year deal, which Barca, up until this point, have been unwilling to entertain.
