Las Palmas vs. Barcelona: Predicted XI for Los Amarillos in La Liga affair

Will Ramirez face his former club? How Las Palmas could line up against Barcelona

Sports Mole looks at how Las Palmas could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Barcelona.

Las Palmas will welcome former Barcelona attacker Sandro Ramirez back into their squad for Saturday's clash with the La Liga leaders.

The Spaniard represented Barcelona between 2009 and 2016, including including 32 first-team appearances, but he now turns out for Las Palmas, and the 29-year-old has been in impressive form this season.

Indeed, Ramirez has seven goals and three assists in 19 La Liga appearances during the 2024-25 campaign, and he is set to line up against his former side in Saturday's La Liga contest, having served a suspension against Mallorca last time out.

Dario Essugo could also be back after a ban of his own, but Scott McKenna will sit this game out through suspension.

Las Palmas also have four injury concerns, with Marvin Park, Fabio Silva, Marc Cardona and Adnan Januzaj all potentially again missing out for the strugglers, who are 17th in the La Liga table.

The hosts will also once again be without the services of influential midfielder Kirian Rodriguez, as the Spaniard is out for the remainder of the campaign after suffering a cancer relapse.

Oli McBurnie has only managed two goals for Las Palmas this season and is yet to find the back of the net in La Liga, but he is expected to lead the line on Saturday night if Fabio Silva is indeed ruled out.

Meanwhile, McKenna's absence in the middle of the defence will open the door for Andy Pelmard to come into the side.

Las Palmas possible starting lineup: Cillessen; Rozada, Suarez, Pelmard, Marmol; Loiodice, Bajcetic; Sandro, Munoz, Moleiro; McBurnie
