Barcelona and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has admitted that he has been seeking "psychological help" following his involvement in highly-publicised incidents on the pitch.
The 27-year-old has found himself under scrutiny following repeated biting incidents for club and country over the years, the latest of which landed him a four-month suspension from football.
Suarez is quoted by Marca as saying: "After the suspension I had some really hard times. I'm getting psychological help and the club have been a constant support.
"I didn't say sorry in order to sign for Barca, I said sorry for myself. You see at that point going to Barcelona was just a possibility, there was nothing agreed on. At no point did Barcelona require me to say sorry".
Suarez assisted two goals in Barcelona's latest victory, as they came back from a goal down to beat Almeria 2-1.
