A report claims that Ivan Rakitic could complete his move from Sevilla to Barcelona as early as this afternoon.

Ivan Rakitic could reportedly complete his move from Sevilla to Barcelona this afternoon.

The Croatian is currently on international duty ahead of the World Cup, but according to Sport, representatives from both clubs will meet in the next couple of hours to discuss the deal.

It is understood that Sevilla want two Barcelona players – Ibrahim Afellay and Cristian Tello – included in the deal, in addition to a transfer figure in the region of £16m.

Rakitic, 26, contributed 12 goals and 10 assists in La Liga last season.

Meanwhile, he also captained Sevilla to the Europa League title.
