Neymar throws bottle, makes wage boast?

Neymar could face disciplinary action after reportedly slapping Valencia defender Antonio Barragan before throwing a water bottle at him and boasting about his wages.

Barcelona forward Neymar could face disciplinary action from La Liga after reportedly throwing a water bottle and taunting a player during yesterday's loss to Valencia.

Los Che claimed a memorable 2-1 scalp at Camp Nou to condemn Luis Enrique's side to their third successive league defeat and wipe out their points advantage in the race for the title.

According to Spanish publication Marca, Neymar took his frustrations out on Valencia defender Antonio Barragan at the close of the match and was filmed slapping the right-back on the head as he celebrated the victory with teammates.

Neymar is then said to have thrown a water bottle at Barragan in the tunnel before declaring: "Shut up, I earn 10 times more than you."

The incidents were not reported by the referee in his match report but an official investigation could now be launched over the TV footage.
