Neymar has claimed that he would hand Dani Alves a new contract if he were in charge of the decisions at Barcelona.
Alves recently revealed his frustration with the way he has been treated during contract negotiations, and he is set to play his last game for the club in the Champions League final against Juventus on Saturday.
However, Neymar believes that his fellow Brazilian should be given the opportunity to extend his seven-year spell at the club.
"I hope that Dani Alves stays. If I was the president I would have renewed his contract already," the forward told Sky Sports News.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Manchester United were leading the race to sign Alves on a free transfer.
