Lionel Messi scores a first-half hat trick to give Barcelona a 5-0 lead at half-time of their friendly against Raja Casablanca.

Lionel Messi scored three times in the first half as Barcelona started a friendly against Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in the perfect fashion.

Messi managed to complete a hat-trick in the space of 13 minutes as Barca stepped up their pre-season preparations.

The Argentine forward scored in the 34th, 38th and 45th minutes for a Barca side looking in ominous form under new manager Tito Vilanova.

Alexis Sanchez also bagged a brace to leave the Moroccan team trailing 5-0 at half-time of the showpiece friendly.

Barcelona continue to adjust to life without Pep Guardiola as they get ready for their first season under Vilanova.
