Luis Enrique keen to cut out Barcelona mistakes

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique admits that his team are currently making too many defensive mistakes after once again falling behind at the weekend.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has admitted that his team's sloppiness in defensive areas is currently costing them goals.

The Catalan outfit boasted the best defensive record in La Liga last season, shipping just 21 goals in their 38 league matches.

Enrique's team have already conceded 12 times this term, however, and once again fell behind in Sunday's 3-1 win over Eibar at Camp Nou.

"We gifted [Eibar] the first goal through an unfortunate piece of play. At the moment, we're being punished for any mistakes we make. We must try minimising them to the fullest," Enrique told reporters.

Barcelona, who are currently level on points with La Liga leaders Real Madrid after nine games, have only kept two clean sheets in Spain's top flight this season.
