Club legend Andres Iniesta has claimed that Barcelona will never possess the same quality as their 'golden generation'.
After a number of players came through their academy setup soon after the turn of the millennium, Barcelona won four Champions League crowns in nine years, as well as winning numerous La Liga titles during that period.
Although Iniesta has dismissed the possibility of Barcelona producing the same level of players again, the midfielder feels that the Catalan giants can still put together another dominant era.
Speaking to The Guardian, the Spaniard said: "That generation will never be repeated but what follows does not have to necessarily be worse in terms of how the club fares.
"I had seen [Carles] Puyol go, I had seen Víctor [Valdes] go, and then Xavi had gone, you concentrate on your own day-to-day, you still have a great team around you, top players."
During his 16-year Camp Nou career, Iniesta helped Barcelona win 32 trophies.
