Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has branded Barcelona's Luis Suarez "the best number nine in the world".
Godin and Suarez play alongside each other for the Uruguay national team, but are very much rivals at club level due to Atletico's progression over the last few years.
Despite the rivalry, Godin has paid tribute to the quality of Suarez and revealed that "it is very difficult to mark" the 29-year-old, who has scored 94 times in 109 appearances for Barcelona.
"He's the best number nine in the world, the best striker," Godin told ESPN. "It is very difficult to mark him, since we always come up against each other. He is very crafty, has great movement in the area and is an extremely complicated attacker to defend against."
The points were shared in a 1-1 draw when Atletico travelled to Barcelona in La Liga earlier this season.
