Cesc Fabregas has stressed that Barcelona will not be taking their Spanish Super Cup tie with Real Madrid lightly.
The Catalans have won the last three Super Cups and the 25-year-old is keen to make it four in a row.
The match is played over two legs and is the equivalent of the English Community Shield, where the cup winners face the league winners.
"They will be intense, competitive games," Fabregas told the club's official website.
"This is just the start of it, but last season we managed vibrant, extraordinary, high-tension games [against Madrid], despite some of the players only just having arrived.
"We are taking it very seriously."
The first leg of the Super Cup takes place at the Nou Camp on August 23, with the return match six days later at the Santiago Bernabeu.
