Barcelona defender Lucas Digne has said that teammate Lionel Messi proves every day that he is the best player in the world.
The Spanish side cruised to a 3-1 victory over Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday despite going down to 10 men due to Gerard Pique's red card late in the first half.
Messi scored his 100th Champions League goal by converting a free kick in the 62nd minute, a feat which Digne feels only further cements his world status.
"[Messi] is the best in the world and he proves it every single day," the Frenchman told reporters after the game.
Barca could go five points clear at the top of La Liga with a win over Malaga at Camp Nou on Saturday.
