Barcelona have confirmed that Ousmane Dembele, Samuel Umtiti and Gavi have all tested positive for coronavirus.
Four players at the club - Dani Alves, Clement Lenglet, Jordi Alba and Alejandro Balde - are already in self-isolation after contracting the virus.
Barcelona have now revealed that another three first-team players have returned positive tests, and a further outbreak could lead to their next match with Mallorca on January 2 being cancelled.
"The footballers O. Dembele, Umtiti and Gavi are positive for COVID-19 after PCR tests on the squad. The players are in good health and self-isolating at home. The club has reported the cases to the relevant authorities," read a club statement.
Barcelona have not been in action since drawing 1-1 with Sevilla on January 21, with the result leaving them seventh in La Liga on 28 points.
The Catalan outfit are also still missing a number of players through injury, with the likes of Sergino Dest, Eric Garcia, Memphis Depay, Sergi Roberto, Pedri and Martin Braithwaite on the sidelines.
