Argentina international Lionel Messi returns to training for Barcelona, three weeks after aggravating a groin problem.

Barcelona have confirmed that Lionel Messi is back in full training following a groin problem.

The Argentine has missed the last three weeks of the campaign after aggravating the issue that he first picked up on international duty towards the start of September.

However, the 29-year-old was present at the club's post-international training session on Wednesday morning and it is understood that he could be on the bench for this weekend's clash with Deportivo La Coruna.

Messi, who has scored eight times in eight appearances this season, trained alongside summer signing Samuel Umtiti, who has been absent in recent weeks due to a knee problem.
