Porto edge past Austria Vienna

Lucho Gonzalez scores the only goal of the game as Porto beat Austria Vienna away from home in the Champions League.

Porto have defeated Austria Vienna 1-0 away from home in their opening Champions League Group G game.

The Portuguese giants had opportunities in the first half to break the deadlock through Jackson Martinez, but so did the hosts, as Philipp Hosiner and Marko Stankovic both went close.

However, the only goal of the game came in the 55th minute and it was Lucho Gonzalez who got it.

Danilo skipped over a challenge, got to the byline and cut back the ball for the midfielder to slot home past Heinza Lindner.

Vienna came closest to an equaliser just two minutes later when Stankovic rattled the post with a header.
