Half-Time Report: Wolfsburg hold narrow lead

Wolfsburg go into the break 2-1 up against Augsburg in the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg are beating Augsburg 2-1 at half time in their Bundesliga clash.

The home side took the lead early on through Tobias Werner's left-footed shot from the centre of the penalty area.

Werner was involved again, but this time his effort from close range was saved.

Wolfsburg's first foray into the opposition's box saw Marcel Schafer go close with a header.

Diego then threatened for the away team, but he got too much into his shot and saw it fly over the bar. The midfielder had a similar effort just a few minutes later.

However, Wolfsburg did equalise with 10 minutes left of the first half as Maximilian Arnold drilled a low shot into the bottom corner.

Luis Gustavo then edged the away team in front with a header into the top corner.
