David Villa heading for the MLS?

A report claims that David Villa could leave Atletico Madrid for the MLS at the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid forward David Villa could reportedly move to the MLS in the summer.

The Spanish international joined Atletico from Barcelona in 2013 and has scored 13 times in all competitions for the capital outfit.

The experienced striker's current deal comes to an end in the summer, however, with Atletico currently undecided whether to offer fresh terms.

According to Marca, Villa is keen to remain at Atletico, but a number of MLS clubs have made contact with the 32-year-old's representatives.

Villa has also scored 56 times in 92 games for Spain.
