Report: Ajax reject Atletico Madrid's Tony Alderweireld bid

Ajax have reportedly turned down a bid from Atletico Madrid for Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs this summer, including Premier League sides Norwich City, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Liverpool.

However, talkSPORT reports that the Spanish side have now made an offer in the region of £6.4m, which has been swiftly rejected by the Amsterdam-based club.

Russian sides Zenit St Petersburg and Spartak Moscow are also rumoured to be interested in Alderweireld, who has been capped 24 times for his country.
