Atletico Madrid will not block a transfer for star striker Radamel Falcao.

Spanish side Atletico Madrid have insisted that they will not stand in the way of striker Radamel Falcao should he wish to leave in the summer.

AS Monaco and most recently Manchester City have been credited with a strong interest in the Colombian, and general manager Miguel Angel Gil Marin said that Atletico will back any decision the player makes.

"Before the start of the season we talked with Falcao and we promised him if he keeps the same performance and he helps us into the Champions League next season, Atletico will help you,'" BBC Sport quotes Marin as saying. "Every decision he will take, Atletico will be with him."

Atletico recently beat Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.
