Agent: 'Mario Suarez could move to Serie A'

Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez could move to Serie A at the end of the season, according to his agent.

The agent of Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez has claimed that his client's future could lie in Serie A.

The 28-year-old joined Atletico from Mallorca in 2010 and has made close to 150 appearances during his second spell at the Vicente Calderon.

However, the Spaniard has not always been involved in the big games and it is understood that he could be prepared to seek pastures new at the end of the season.

"Mario was followed by three or four Italian teams in January, including AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli," Suarez's agent Manuel Garcia Quilon told Football Italia.

"Right now I couldn't say if there are any meetings planned with [Milan chief executive] Adriano Galliani but it's true that in the past he was being pursued by Milan."

Suarez is currently on international duty with Spain.
