Team News: Fernando Torres starts for Atletico Madrid at Astana

Fernando Torres makes his first Champions League start of the season for Atletico Madrid in their Group C fixture at Astana.

Fernando Torres has been selected for his first Champions League start of the season as Atletico Madrid take on Kazakhstani side Astana in the first game of matchday four.

Torres came off the bench in Atletico's first three Group C contests, but starts in attack with Antoine Griezmann today.

Torres's inclusion is one of three changes made by Diego Simeone to the Atleti side that drew 1-1 at Depotivo La Coruna in their last match on Friday.

He replaces Jackson Martinez in attack, while elsewhere Saul Niguez and Guilherme Siqueira replace Yannick Ferreira Carrasco and Filipe Luis.

The home side have won five straight matches in the Kazakhstani Premier League, but lost 4-0 in Madrid in their last Champions League outing.

Six of the team that lined up in the reverse leg at the Vicente Calderon start again, with Marin Anicic, Dmitri Shomko, Nemanja Maksimovic, Roger Canas and Baurzhan Dzholchiyev coming in.
