Koke upbeat despite Deportivo La Coruna draw

Koke says that his Atletico Madrid teammates need not feel disappointed over failing to move top of La Liga following the 1-1 draw at Deportivo La Coruna.

Koke has played down Atletico Madrid's 1-1 draw at Deportivo La Coruna on Friday night, insisting that their Primera Division title charge is alive and well.

The 2014 champions missed the chance to usurp Real Madrid and Barcelona at the summit after Lucas Perez struck with 13 minutes remaining to cancel out Tiago's first-half opener.

"We really wanted to sleep as leaders, but this is a very long season. We will do our best to be up there," the Spain international told reporters.

Diego Simeone's side remain third, one point behind the Clasico outfits. Real host newly-promoted Las Palmas on Saturday, while the Catalans face Getafe away later in the evening.
