Aston Villa forward Scott Hogan has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Sheffield United.
In January 2017, Villa paid £9m to sign Hogan from Brentford but the 26-year-old has scored just seven goals from 50 appearances in the Championship.
As it stands, Hogan's future at Villa is uncertain due to the club's financial troubles, and according to the Sheffield Star, that could lead to an approach from the Blades.
The report claims that Sheffield United may be interested in a loan bid, although the Yorkshire outfit may have to show a willingness to pay the player's wages in full for a temporary deal to materialise.
Hogan still has three years remaining on his contract, while it has been claimed that Villa still have instalments to pay to Brentford in the future.
