Report: Aston Villa close to Ki Sung-Yueng deal

Aston Villa are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng to be their first cash deal of the summer.

Aston Villa are closing in on the signing of Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng, according to a report.

The 25-year-old spent last season away from the Liberty Stadium on loan at Sunderland, and impressed for the Black Cats during the campaign.

Villa boss Paul Lambert is ready to make the South Korea international his first cash signing of the summer, having held talks with Ki and his agent over the weekend, reports The Telegraph.

The Villans have already signed Joe Cole, Philippe Senderos and Kieran Richardson this month.
