Charles N'Zogbia to officially join Aston Villa next week

Alex McLeish says that Wigan's Charles N'Zogbia will complete his move from the DW Stadium next week.

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has said that Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia will complete his move from the DW Stadium next week.

The former Newcastle man returned from holiday in order undergo a medical at the club later today, after the two sides agreed a £9.5m compromise fee on Monday.

"We're arranging a medical for Charles and, pending that, he should be a Villa player next week," McLeish told reporters.

The Midlands club are currently taking part in the Barclays Asia Trophy, having already beaten Blackburn Rovers to reach Saturday's final against Chelsea in Hong Kong.
