Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish expects Gabriel Agbonlahor to stay with the club beyond the end of the season.

Alex McLeish expects Gabriel Agbonlahor to remain an Aston Villa player "for the next 10 years".

The 25-year-old has recently been linked with a £12m summer move to Sunderland, whom Villa take on this afternoon.

However, manager McLeish believes that the striker's loyalty towards the club will make him stay at Villa Park.

"I would find it hard to believe that Gabby would leave. This is his club," said McLeish. "Of course, it's football and you can never rule anything out.

"But I see Gabby being here for the next 10 years provided he is playing at the level he is capable of."

Agbonlahor has scored five league goals this season.
