Andre Green pens new contract at Aston Villa

Aston Villa announce that Andre Green has extended his contract at the West Midlands outfit until 2020.

Aston Villa have announced that Andre Green has agreed to pen a new contract which keeps him at the club until 2020.

Since making his debut in 2016, Green has become increasingly involved in the first-team setup at the West Midlands outfit, who are currently competing for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The 19-year-old has made a total of 26 appearances in all competitions, and Villa have moved to ensure that the youngster will remain at the club for at least another two years.

Green has spent a large period of the current campaign on the sidelines due to a hamstring problem, but the player made a successful return from the injury in January.

Manager Steve Bruce may involve Green after the international break, with Villa facing the prospect of playing five games in two weeks.
