Samir Carruthers makes permanent MK Dons switch

MK Dons seal a permanent move for winger Samir Carruthers from Aston Villa.

MK Dons have sealed a move for winger Samir Carruthers from Aston Villa on a three-year deal.

The 21-year-old Irishman has joined the League One club for an undisclosed fee.

Carruthers spent part of last season on loan at MK Dons, scoring two goals in 28 games before injury cut short his stay.

"It's exciting and it's what I wanted," the youngster told the club's official website. "Obviously I know the club from before. I'm pleased to be back and I can't wait to get going again. It's like coming home."

Carruthers came through the youth academy at Villa before signing his first professional deal in 2012.
