Tony Parks named Aston Villa goalkeeping coach

Former Tottenham Hotspur shot-stopper Tony Parks joins Aston Villa as the club's new goalkeeping coach.

Aston Villa have appointed Tony Parks as the club's new first-team goalkeeping coach.

The 52-year-old moves to Villa Park following a spell working behind the scenes at Norwich City.

Parks enjoyed a lengthy playing career for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United.

He has also previously coached for Spurs and the Football Association.

Villa remained in the relegation zone on the weekend as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Stoke City.

Tim Sherwood's side are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Newcastle United in the Premier League.
