Aston Villa winger Charles N'Zogbia says that he will be "happy" at the Midlands club as long as he improves on the pitch.

Aston Villa winger Charles N'Zogbia has admitted that he needs to improve his game under new manager Paul Lambert this season.

The 26-year-old could only manage to record two goals and four assists in his first season at Villa Park since joining from Wigan Athletic last summer.

"I definitely need to be scoring more goals and providing a few more assists," the Daily Star quotes N'Zogbia as saying.

"The thing I've got in my mind now is to just play my best, show my skills, and that would be a good start. That would be good and it would also be good to be happy playing for Villa."

Villa began their Premier League season with a defeat as they stumbled to a 1-0 loss against West Ham United on Saturday.
