Alan Hutton insists that his career at Aston Villa is over after falling out of favour under Paul Lambert and will look to move permanently in January.

Alan Hutton has revealed that he does not believe he has a future at Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old defender is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest and has said that he will be looking to leave Villa Park permanently in January.

The Scotland international fell out of favour under Paul Lambert and was made to train with the academy youngsters.

Hutton said: "I don't see any way back for me at Villa. I was told at the beginning of the season I wouldn't be playing,

"It's one of those things when new managers come in. It's happened a couple of times to me. You have to pick yourself up and move on. You'll have to ask Paul Lambert [why he doesn't rate me]. I don't really want to go into the reason.

"I don't see any way back for me at Villa. What's been said has done for me there. I want the boys to do well and then January comes and we'll see what happens. Forest is a big club and I want to be part of it."

Hutton joined Aston Villa in 2011 from Tottenham Hotspur.
