Arsene Wenger rules out signing Thierry Henry

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger rules out signing Thierry Henry for a third time after the former Gunners striker began training with the side.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out the prospect of signing Thierry Henry for a third time.

The French striker, who now plays for New York Red Bulls, is currently training with the Gunners alongside his former teammate Robert Pires.

"At the moment Thierry is invited just to practise when he can and when he wants," Wenger told ITV Sport.

"We have a big staff, a very competent one, and we have the right number to support the team to achieve the targets.

"Thierry is a player, one day certainly it will be different, but at the moment no."

Henry scored 228 times for Arsenal.
