Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given Andrey Arshavin a lifeline by claiming that the Russian may have a "future" with the Gunners.
The 31-year-old had been rumoured to be leaving the Emirates on a permanent basis following his loan stint at Zenit St Petersburg last season.
"With Arshavin, it depends," Wenger said. "We have to sit together and talk. He could still have a future at the club."
Arshavin moved to the North London club in 2009 but in recent seasons has failed to make his mark in the first team.
