Winger Theo Walcott has reportedly indicated that he would prefer to secure a loan deal away from Arsenal, rather than a permanent transfer.
Walcott has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium, with the 28-year-old featuring for just 48 minutes in the Premier League this season.
The England international also has just 18 months remaining on his contract, leading to alleged interest from the likes of Everton and former club Southampton ahead of the January window.
However, according to Football.London, Walcott is keen to depart the Gunners on loan in order to secure regular first-team football during the second half of the season.
While the attacker's future appears to be away from North London, Walcott would prefer to try to attract interest from a top-six Premier League club during the summer.
The report also claims that interested clubs may be unwilling to meet Walcott's wage demands on top of a significant transfer fee, which would likely be in excess of £20m.
