Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos is reportedly on the brink of completing a move to Arsenal.
The Greek international will undergo a medical with the Gunners this week, according to Kicker.
Sokratis, who has one year remaining on his Dortmund contract, is said to have already agreed personal terms with the Premier League club and is on the verge of becoming Unai Emery's first Arsenal signing.
The Gunners are believed to be prioritising defensive reinforcements this summer, with reports elsewhere suggesting that Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner is also on his way to the Emirates Stadium.
Sokratis made almost 200 appearances for Dortmund since joining the club from Werder Bremen in 2013.
