Real Madrid 'slash Sami Khedira asking price to £8m'

Real Madrid slash their asking price for Sami Khedira in an attempt to force a bid from Arsenal.

Arsenal could be ready to renew their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira after the European Champions reportedly slashed their asking price.

The midfielder has been linked with a switch to North London all summer, and according to The Mirror the Spanish giants will now accept a fee of £8m to get the player off their books.

The Germany international will be able to leave Real for free when his contract expires in a year's time if a deal for his services is not struck before then.

Arsenal get their Premier League campaign underway today as they host Crystal Palace.
