Arsenal are reportedly planning a move for Cameroon international Stephane Mbia.
The 28-year-old is available on a free transfer following his release by Queens Park Rangers.
He spent last season on loan at Sevilla and was part of the team that won the Europa League final against Benfica.
According to the Daily Star, Arsene Wenger is looking to strengthen the centre of his midfield and he sees signing Mbia as a cheaper alternative to buying Sami Khedira.
Prior to joining QPR, Mbia played for Ligue 1 teams Rennes and Marseille.
