Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin could be unveiled as an Arsenal player later today, according to reports.
The Gunners are thought to have stolen a march on Liverpool in the race for the 23-year-old's signature and could announce the loan signing of Sahin later today.
Sources close to the Gunners claim that Sahin finalised a deal with the North London outfit on Monday before the player reported to their London Colney training ground for a customary photoshoot and to meet his new teammates.
The season-long loan deal isn't expected to contain a future fee, as Jose Mourinho is keen for the player to develop before returning to Spain.
The Turkish midfielder has endured a torrid time at the Santiago Bernabeu, with his playing time limited mainly due to injuries since his switch from German champions Borussia Dortmund last summer.
