Daniele Rugani has reportedly agreed personal terms with Arsenal ahead of completing a two-year loan move to the Emirates before Thursday's transfer deadline.
Unai Emery has placed considerable emphasis on the Gunners landing a central defender, with William Saliba, the club's only defensive signing so far, set to spend the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Saint-Etienne.
Arsenal reportedly approached Juventus over a potential two-year loan move earlier this month, but the offer was turned down by the Serie A champions.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the Juventus defender has agreed terms with Arsenal after the club made an improved bid and will complete a two-year loan switch to North London in the coming days.
It is claimed that Arsenal will have the option to make the loan move permanent for £40m in 2021.
Other reports have claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers are planning to swoop for Rugani, whom Maurizio Sarri is willing to let go this summer, by making a £30m bid of their own for the defender.
