Arsene Wenger will reportedly make an approach for Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus this summer as a replacement for Theo Walcott.
It is claimed by The Telegraph that the Frenchman has widened his scouting focus to include a high-profile name in attacking midfield, to go alongside a new central defender and central midfielder.
Reus is said to be at the top of his wishlist prior to next season, a player Wenger has been linked with numerous times in the past without a move coming to fruition.
Arsenal's interest in the Germany international cooled following the arrivals of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in recent seasons, but with Lukas Podolski and Walcott both expected to move on, a big-money bid could now be on the cards.
Reus, who has scored 10 goals in 21 games for Dortmund this season, penned a new contract at the Bundesliga club earlier this year to keep him in place until 2019.
